Crossfire Downloader will not work.

This has never happened before.

I download the CF downloader, run it. Of course, it lags out like all of their files do. So I wait. It allows me to select "desktop" then when it hits "initializing" it times out. "CF Downloader has stopped working..." so, I ran in a crap load of compatability modes, googled and more.

My internet is fast enough to support the download, so I don't know why its doing this.

When I clicked the big orange button , cf installer downloaded. Maybe restart your computer and try again?

Edit: I forgot to mention, the times it DOES go passed the selection window, it never tells me how much its downloading, just says 0% of 824 Mb at 0b\ps (I understand this, but not sure why it wont DL)

do a direct downloaded? idk... i haven't really looked at that for about 2 years :/

Well...I remember the 1st time I downloaded cf before some years I didn't get it from the "cf downloader" I got it from a direct torrent...Logically you can still do that now...that's my opinion

Actually you can't get the up-to-date version from torrents, Z8 no longer posts the approved torrents and there is no way I'm dling a torrent anyways.

I got it to work after vigorous attempts, doubtful I could explain it to anyone
