Norton is decent and there are better alternatives out there like Exicution said. And 90% of these alternatives are free full versions that have a lot of better features that actually appeal to the gaming community such as gaming mode, where it wont download updates or scan, etc while a gaming program is running.
While Norton may work for you on this site and piratebay, you would be surprised at what is downloaded to your computer without you even clicking a download link from reputable sites such as google, bing, msn, hotmail, etc in your cookies. This can let in a lot of malicious content. Honestly I would download a secondary free full version anti virus, scan with norton then scan with the secondary and see what all norton failed to detect. You will be amazed.

Many anti-virus software will create "false attacks", I know AVG does this with its Tuneup, where as when it scans for errors, it will split those errors into parts to make it seem as if there's more. It works, but it just exaggerates how much it does to make it seem so much better.
