Suggestions??

Basically the main point of this thread is to find out YOUR views of this section and to suggest improvements that need to be made.

Not only tell me how this section can be improve, but how I can be a better mod to you guys.

Make your suggestions reasonable and valid and I will do my best to comfort your needs.

-At the end I will take all the suggestions and see what I can get done.

-If you can, give more input instead of just saying, "release more pub hacks".

-Keep the spam down to a minimum and keep on topic.

like they should know how long to ban someone for what they did

-Flaming(3 day ban)
-Using outside download sources(3 day ban)
-Bumping old threads 1 week or older(1 day ban)
-Spamming(1 day ban)

-No virus scan(1 day ban)

I think we should make a pub hack but you have to have {X} number of posts that ARE NOT SPAM (i would say 100) and have to be helpful so maybe be thanked at least 20 times

Yes, a hack requirement would be really good. However it must be done well in such a way as there wont be any spammers. A requirement would reduce the amount of hackers in CA and reduce the likelihood of the hack being leeched.

How about a Blog for the coders so they can keep us people up to date and not just on the main page But a full blow blog where there having problems inc.. maybe some people can help them..I find that when I have people to talk to my problems just seem to fix them self's

Obama if you to get the search down when there is low traffic im guessing it would stop spam posting because people go search like 2 times and dont find anything so they are likes screw that and go post but lower amount of time... they will search alot more so it could help reduce it, also i would have to agree with the 100 posts thing to download hacks but not the thanks because certain people who release hacks will get about... one thousand thanks which isnt really fair so probably 100 posts is good

Well i suggest make public downloads for 25 posts or up, and if they spam then instant ban. Offtopic is 7 day ban, and advertising instant IP ban. Saying useless things ban for 3 days or suspention. Or better, make all download attachments for a new rule and make the post requirement 25 posts or up to download attachments! that sounds good.

i think you need to enforce the rules.
People still do alot of spamming/advertising.
Maybe make a 3 strike rule?
