Is the laptop essential?
To be completely honest, in most cases, maybe the alienware may be your best bet, (there are some that are better).
You are loads better off to build your own pc and with your current budges you can most likely go all out on one.

It's smarter to just get a desktop for price, cause really nice laptops tops out at about the 1700 mark, cause they just can't pack the performance in such a small machine.

For $3500 you can get quite a bit for a laptop, but in Aus not so much... I could find you some laptops but it would be 2x price in Aus.
