Bandicam was available from GiveawayOfTheDay a few weeks ago for free. It was the full version. Anyway, it's a piece of crap. Use FRAPS (generates large files) or use MSI Afterburner's video capture which is free and works with Windows 8 for sound capture (where FRAPS doesn't). Just remember to remove the watermark from MSI Afterburner by going to Settings > On-Screen Display and untick Show On-Screen display on captured screenshots and videos.

I was using 3.5.9 and sound wasn't being captured (was working on Windows 7). Might be something else.

EDIT - Just tested it, it works now, must be something to do with my sound card drivers that I fixed a while back. Nonetheless, MSI Afterburner still generates smaller files and doesn't require an extra codec to decode videos.

afterburner is the shit it works great files are still quite big but not even close to the filesize fraps generates
