so does any one hav linux cuz my freind said it was good but he lies a lot xD


so opinions plz

cuz im gettin alien ware so i wanna noe wat os to pick...

IMO yes, it's more secure and it's free + fast

you can do anything in Linux

Vista has alot of security protocols, actually depending on which version you have.......Cough cough Home edition cough cough

like god said, linux is good, but if you are new to the whole thing, dont use it.....

if you are to get unix/linux use it on you current computer after you get the alien ware, that way you can practice using the OS.

If you really are getting Alienware, Vista will be lighting fast on a thing like that.
Since you don't know anything about Linux, I suggest you keep it that way.

P.S

Windows 7 IMHO is better than Ubuntu.

Linux is basicly an improved mac OS.

I'm on Debain right now, I like it.

I'm using fluxbox, which I don't recommend if you're new to *nix, but it comes with Gnome which is more windows-user friendly. Whatever you do, don't get KDE. And read a LOT about how to use the shell.
