Try shooting someone as you see the fear in their eyes
The Old Style: Swords, shield, clever tactics (e.g. setting hay bales on fire and rolling them down hills - The Romans), archers, horses and real man fighting - A style of fighting which took skill.
Or do you prefer the new style?
The New Style: Guns, nuclear war, no real skill involved compared to the old style (not hating - soldiers do a grand job)
I personally think there's more patriotism in the old style as it required a great amount of strength and bravery, nowa' days it's just whoever shoots a mechanic piece of metal first.
Your verdicts?
-I'm not here to hate, just discuss.

Swords and shields are better, cause I like watching those ancient war movies

I think many people prefer the "Modern" day style of fighting simply because they feel less inclined to be responsible for their actions. Psychologically speaking, it's harder for someone to stab someone than just pull a trigger. Simply because they aren't "the one" killing in the sense that the bullet did the work for them. Having to actually use like swords and stuff, you receive the feeling of actually cutting through someone's flesh.
Just my opinion.
