3D modelling is much more difficult if you're starting from scratch .
I've recently started with 2D modelling(read: making sprites) and i'm having difficulty with knowing where to draw the lines to make it look like ex. a six pack or a hand. Also having trouble with shading. So I've been wondering do you guys think that for someone with these difficulties, 3D modelling would come easier?
I mean with 3D most of the time you just import a texture(like a television's front view) and then start indenting shit all over to make it look like a TV.
With 2D however, you have to figure out yourself how to draw the pixels so they can look like a decent television.

Depends, do you have an imported skeleton in 3D or starting from scratch? As Ryhes said - it's a lot harder from scratch.
Like said above it really depends on how your starting, because if you have a premade skeleton its a lot easier
