I feel ashamed admitting this, but I have used this on multiple occasions. I stooped low enough back when I was addicted to Vicodin and I needed money for my pills. It does work, but brings about a lot of guilt.

Ain't stealing at all, just scamming. Making them pay you the return for their own product while you keep the one you paid for.

It usually works if you have an inexperienced cashier that simply looks at the receipt. Or even if scanning the code, if they don't have a date registry system. Works most places, doesn't for some. Don't do it though, I was desperate as fuck.

Never tried a Target. I only hit my local Wal-Mart, a Sears, an Ace-Hardware, and a K-mart. Worked for all except K-Mart.
Seriously though, you don't want to become me. I spent 9 months in prison for selling Vicodin, that's why I was inactive from 2011 to 2012. You don't want to be that 18 year old kid behind bars. Though I was already doing shit before I did this scam, it leads you on a bad road. I got my life straightened out now, but take it from me. Please don't.
