GPU Issues

I'll keep this nice and short.

Basically I got a new graphics card (GTX-670 FTW). I installed the graphics card in the PSI-Express slot and when I booted up my PC it came up with 'No Display', I tried booting it up with the HDMI on the motherboard and graphics card but no result both times.

Does anyone have a solution to this? Greatly appreciated.

P.S - To install, you just need to give power to the 2 slots available right? To install all I did was put it into the slot and put power into the top through one cable that split into two.

Try reseating it first. If that doesn't work try using different PCI-E connectors. What power supply and GPU do you have?

uninstall the card see if the video works with onboard if it does go ahead and run the driver disc if it will you may also have to enable it in the bios .
check list take the vc out see if you have video / if you do check in the bios make sure that is not the problem / if that is not it may not be seated good or
your power supply may be to small to run that big card if its not any of them the card is bad
i worked for hp and asus as a repair tech i have fixed thousands of computers if there is a card issue it should beep ps what watt is the power supply ? that card should need a 600 at least edit i read how you did the power no you want one dedicated for the top and if you dont have another dedicated 6 pin use a molex adapter on the other

It's a 750W SuperNova 80 PLUS GOLD 90% Efficiency PSU. I've tried installing the drivers with onboard graphics however whenever I try it says I'm missing the card itself. How do I check if the BIOS isn't a problem? It's definitely seated properly, tried installing it multiple times. So I should use 2 power cables for the graphics card instead of 1 that splits into 2?

the beta it varies it could just be you are trying to draw to much through the connect that you have split i just checked that out on newegg is that the evga one if so its modular and you should have plenty of 6 pins for the video card why would you use one that splits ? if its not seated right it should post beep if its not doing anything no fan/no video it should be a power issue or the card is bad because drivers don't matter in the bios it should show video that is unless the bois needs updated and or rolled back in this case i would think it need to be updated as this is a pci-e 3.0 card is the mother board a pci-e 3.0 mobo? or an older motherboard is it an oem piece or aftermarket it could be that the motherboard needs an update to see the new video card especially if the old motherboard is not pci-e 3.0 ready it should still work you just might have to update drivers card needs Minimum of a 500 Watt power supply. (Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 30 Amps.) 2 x 6 Pin not 6 pin split 2 times 6 pin 30 amps 12 volts this is probably the issue its not a gtx460 it needs power!!

ps if the card is yet another nvidia pos try this card it is better

the radeon will out overclock the nvidia card has more memory and more cores dual fans and a lifetime warranty and is about 65 bucks less so you could get a nice water cooler for your cpu
this is a video of the radeon bieng oc'ed it is a good card

pci 3.0 will work in a 2.0 though not if the slot is dead ! I dont know if you have an amd or intel machine but this is a good mobo for the money
