The SR-2 can support only up to 48gb of memory, not 96gb. The SR-X supports 96gb.

You can SLI 8 GPUs? Wow, I thought SLI could only support up to quad GPUs.

You said you have 4 (four) GTX 690s. A GTX 690 is a dual-GPU video card. Four of them would be 8 GPUs in total.

Well, that's like $6000 at a random guess. Plus $4200 more after the titans.

    Nice try OP.

SR-2 only supports 48 GB of memory, not 96. Though it it likely OP meant to type SR-X instead. Which is funny because if OP would have taken the time to actually look at the specs of the SR-X, he would have found that it only supports Xeon E5 CPU's. It actually quite specifically says on the website that the SR-X does NOT support Core i5/i7 chips.

    (Check the C606 section)

Pretty much gonna just giggle at the rest of that setup for now. Like how despite 4 690's taking up every PCI slot, he still manages to have room for a sound card. If OP ever returns from fantasy land, perhaps he can consider building a computer he could actually afford.

    Titans?
    You're crazy.
Who in the world needs that much power...unless you're running 5 GTA IV's in the background I don't see the requirement to have one.

Sounds impossible to achieve without having a whole gamestudio...
    Good luck
