Honestly, I can't fucking wait, this is going to be sweet.

I've only been watching the anime but my friend who reads the manga talks about it a lot and spoils a lot of things. Anyways, the only thing I can't wait for is the filler to be over.. it's bothering me.

Finally! I wanna SEE and HEAR the almighty Madara Uchiha fully animated with a voice. I can't wait!!

is Naruto any good? Been meaning to give it a shot worth it?

It's excellent, don't listen to what Empire said, most of the fillers are either good, or can be easily avoided.

Take the original series for example, just watch up until episode 135, and then watch the end of episode 220. The only one you should skip from 1-135 is 26.

And for Shippuden, the only fillers that were bad that I would really skip are:

Episodes 176-196

and

Episodes 223-242

Everything else is cannon, or were GOOD fillers that I enjoyed. (And even in what I told you to skip, there were some cool stuff too, but most of it was shit sadly. :S) I don't know what the guy who said he only got to episode 80 was on, there was only 1 episode of filler in that (26, like I said before), the rest was canon. Oh well.

Also, when you read the manga you understand how incredibly much ALL the fillers detract from the actual story.

First half(non shippudden) had like.....i think 50% fillers. Thats half an anime that has no relation to the real plot or gives anything to it. Hell they made episodes were they did fucking errands it got so bad.

Shippudden is a different story but it still drags the fuck out of every fight. 2-3 episodes, is fine. 5-6 for a single fight? On this scale? Nooooooooooope.

Anyway, if you wanna get into naruto read the manga. Its a lot better than the anime in well....everything and won't waste your time(by much).

There are plenty of other great series as well, I'd reccommend giving any of them a try before naruto.

Yeah but in DBZ that was the entire boss. Frieza/cell/Buu were the main enemies and took up that much time, most other guys were beaten in the episode or the episode after in a rare case. They also were made a lot earlier in time and had a much larger scale for each fight.
