Cheats are made by the game owner/publisher. They are made for fun, and pre-coded ingame.
Hacks are people/customer made to get an advantage over other players.

For me, at least, a cheat is anything that gives you an unfair advantage over others, usually against some set of rules. A hack changes something to work in a way it was not originally intended to. Most things posted here fall under both categories.

A cheat is legit. People only pronounce the word hack as cheat

I'd class a glitch as legit.
Cheat is less-user active and hack is more-user active.
e.g. blowing up the whole team is a hack, whilst giving yourself all camo's is a cheat.
