Hey Folks,

I just wanted to pop in here and let everyone know that the team is currently working out a fix for the duping exploit. I'm happy to report that were on pace to have a fix in implemented early this week (3/11 - 3/17).

While we don't have an exact date to report, and this time frame is subject to change, I want to assure everyone that getting duping fixed is a top priority for us, and we will get it resolved as quickly as possible.

While there is a chance this time frame may be pushed back, please know that our engineers are hard at work getting this fix ready. Thank you all for your continued patience.

good. frankly they made the game too easy before duping broke out, now it's just pointless to play. still pointless though considering they added o2 shop items, the basterds.

The idea of RotMG is not to dupe, but to actually play. But then again, duping is still pretty fun

I've tried playing legit and it sucked, as it is using a hack client and duping still pisses me off sometimes, maybe if drop rates on good items was at least 30-40 times higher then legit would be ok but until then lack of duping equals me leaving rotmg, and it's not like i trade/give away any items i dupe so it's not lowering the value of them.

oh god, no way, people have already duped enough that there will be millions of life potions floating around to the point that ANYONE can buy anything...

Then the item's rareness decreases, until everybody in the game has it. That makes the game suck, since the hardest thing can be obtained with a health potion -_-

they could have hotfixed it the hour they noticed it by just implementing a 2 sec timer blocking INVWAP and ACCEPTTRADE before and after using portals or disconnecting to avoid the race condition ... they could ban people who use the guild portal more than 50 times an hour ... they could implement connection throttling for the same ip ... they could disallow trading in a 2 square radius around portals ... there are 10000 options to hotfix the issue but they are just fucking morons ... probably just a bunch of marketing and php guys with an IQ of 85 ...

They already patched it.

What was their solution? Disabling trade for everybody -_-

Considering that a lot of people prob pay for extra chests to hold all their duped items i can understand why they have not even tried to fix it yet, and if people did not abuse it so much they might not have ever bothered to fix it.
Can't wait for the next duping glitch to be found.
