    Overclocking a i7 2600

A year or two ago, I saved 20-25 dollars by not buying the K version because I thought I would never be able give a 100% load to a cpu. After using 7 VM's at once, it easily hits 100% and I'm wondering if it's possible to overclock an i7 2600 (no K).

Is there maybe some fancy mumbo jumbo way to overclock it despite being unable to?

The 2600 is a locked CPU multiplyer, so it isnt meant to be overclocked, you can maybe squeeze almost 100mhz out of it in your bios but apart from that you're not going to be getting anyway.
You would only be able to oc a 2600 would be by changing the BCLK but thats a bit risky.
You could squeeze about 340Mhz out of it pretty easily by changing the BCLK to 110 but you really shouldn't.

You can squeeze 400mhz because of intel's "turbo boost" or some crap, but I'm looking to go from 3.4ghz, to 4+ is there any way?

There's actually no way you can overclock the Non-K version of this CPU any more than a couple hundred MhZ.
It's just the way Intel does things, sometimes it's worth dishing out an extra 20 bucks.
