Need Experienced Gamers' Help

So, I was playing several FPS games on my PC. These games were: Crossfire and COD MW3 (Not Steam).
And Lately I've noticed that my ping went really high. It increased from 130-150 to 230-250 so does anyone know a way to help me or why did this happen?

try checking for malware somebody might have you connected to a botnet or such. also if it continues call your internet provider and complain.

Did you change or disturb any settings of your Internet .. ?
