Naruto: Shippuden Episode 306 Summary

Okay, so I can deal with fillers but this was just a relatively pathetic filler. So at the beginning of the episode you see Neji and Hinata with their backs to one another because Neji has been over using his eyes and Hinata says she'll protect him. Then she says "Like when you protected me" and it goes back to a flashback were they are training. Apparently Hinata needs to drill daily until a 1000 spars are achieved.

Since her sparring partner is Neji he didn't give her a break and they went at it all afternoon and in the morning and later in the day, Sakura comes by and asks Hinata to come to a fireworks display in honor of Lady Tsunade becoming the 5th hokage, of course this being Sakura she just wants to have alone time with Sasuke. (God, I really hate Sakura)

So then Hinata's eyes are messed up for using them to much and she can't use her eyes anymore so Neji asks the doctors if she can recover by the weekend and the only way they say she can recover by the weekend if she had Eyebright, so Naruto and Sakura also come along (They were eavesdropping and overheard) and then they start fighting these black creatures with no eyes and then Guy and Kakashi helps them, they are at the valley because Orichumaru might come to get the Eyebright.

So in the end they decide not to fight the creatures and for Hinata to recover, you get to see everyone enjoying the fireworks display. And then it goes back to the war and Hinata says "Compared to the Senbon Sparring, this is nothing!" and they start fighting again. An annoying filler but I did enjoy seeing Asuma again, even if only for a few seconds.

There are a few good fillers but this one was... meh. I rate it 4/10

One of the big reasons I stopped watching Naruto back at like episode 250 was that I couldn't take the Goddamn fillers anymore.
I got caught up to 306 recently, and to no surprise in between where I left off and 306 there were tons of fillers.
I like the show, but that shit is annoying.
