Not as bad as some people want to make it out to be, but it was and is, a terrible choice for an OS.

And as for the RAM thing, 7 usually requires that much as well. There is a good reason for it too.

my thinkpad t61p came with vista pre-installed, and I never had one single problem, for the 2 months I had it.
