For a good minute I was lost wondering wtf I was going to do and I absolutely hated fucking going to classes and shit. But once you choose a major and start getting into the meat of what you're supposed to know, shit goes from boring to interesting. I'm majoring in Geology right now and its fucking nuts learning about Earth processes. Been learning about how rocks deform and shit on a macro scale as well as rock formation within the mantle and shit and chemical structures of these rocks.

This quarter we're going more in depth with the formation of the Earth, and I'm also taking geochemistry learning about chemical structures and reactions that rocks undergo.

TL;DR: University is the bees knees.

I got lucky and got a job making 30$ an hour after I dropped out of school and got my GED at 16 so I never had to get more education. I would like to go to school and learn some new shit getting sick of using nothing but math all the time but I make 40$ an hour right now and I work 12 hour nights so I never have time to go back.

That's how I felt when I started taking Chemistry II, I'm majoring in Environmental Science.
I retain everything well, and it is pretty interesting especially when you get into how certain compounds react with each other.
It does get a bit tough come exams sometimes. There is just a lot to remember.

I haven't taken chem for over 2 years so now that I'm taking geochem I'm having a hard time getting back into all them redux reactions and shit. I also don't remember the filling of orbitals and shit.

Yeah dude, that's what I mean about exams. Like with orbitals, you feel great once you get down shit like electron or particle configurations,
but sometimes they throw some fucking curve ball questions at you, that get you second guessing.

Speak for yourself, learning for 4 years ate away at my brain. I was burned out as fuck after that shit. Keep in mind I only really went for 3 years because I took 2 semesters off. I don't think it was the learning just the pointless stress.

Maybe its because you majored in something you'd already been doing for years anyways. You sat through class just relearning shit just to get your degree. I on the other hand am experiencing everything for the first time which keeps it interesting.
