    The world without internet

What do you think it would be like? if tomorrow you woke up and there was no more internet..

tbh, i think it would suck at first.. but i think it would be the best thing ever.. some what internet has ruined my life.. i waste so much time on it daily and im addicted.. so yeah at first it would suck but it would motivate me to get off my ass and go outside or do stuff outside like i did when i was a kid

what about you? what are your thoughts?

I would literally have withdrawal, then sink into a deep spiraling depression. Pretty sad isn't it.
You were seeking strength, justice, splendour.
    You were seeking love.
Here is the pit, here is your pit.
    Its name is Silence..

The internet is a massive global network of information. Recently we've had such an exponential increase in knowledge that's it'd be nearly impossible to lose it. Back then if you were an electronics engineer, you would literally have bookshelves full of reference books which cost an arm and a leg, now you can get everything you need on the internet.

---------- Post added at 10:39 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:35 PM ----------

Many people see the internet as a place of entertainment and a black hole that sucks in all productivity, but in reality, the internet is the best tool for productivity, education and communications. You can communicate with people around the world immediately, sharing information and knowledge.

No need for large dictionaries and encyclopedias that require a long time to search through and are huge, you can just search on the internet for it.

If you want to know about something, you don't have to take a trip to the library or a newspaper, you can get it right away at your fingertips. Everything is real time. No waiting for a newspaper to know what's happening, you can get it immediately.

I personally think the internet is one of the best things to happen to humanity in the 20th-21st century.

Doesen't TV have to do with the internet? for people that said sex 24/7 *COUGH*@-HAYEM*COUGH* rules still apply. Without internet we'd be still 40 years late of technology. Internet brings all of our knowledge together. Without it we'd be having disco dances and schools with paddles. Drastic changes of course.

Television in a traditional sense has nothing to do with the internet.

Well I would be fucking pissed since I couldn't buy shit online other then that I couldn't give a fuck since having the internet is a luxury, not essential to life.
We were once a planet with no internet and those were the good times.

If good times refer to limited access to information and knowledge.

We are smarter now than we used to be. Our lives became easier.

Men still are men and women are still women.

Are you saying that the "Leave it to Beaver" lifestyle with Dad working, mom staying at home and beaver at school is the good times?
Even just 40 years ago, a single blue collar job could sustain a family of Father, Mother and child, now a single blue collar job is barely enough to support yourself, let alone a whole family. The leave it to beaver era is over, economically and socially.
