Why do people hate Alienware?

32gb, i7 3960x, gtx 690 sli, 4 ssds in raid 0. Maybe a 1440p monitor. There's never "nothing" to add

GTX 690 sli = No, got 7950 crossfire and don't max it out.
4 SSD's in Raid 0 = Got 2 in raid 0 and not going to wipe my OS.
1440p monitor = desk too small.

See, i'm happy with the desktop i got now and i won't build a new one until Broadwell CPU's / Maxwell GPU's come out in late 2014.

Buy a bigger desk, go to your local Officeworks or Harvey Norman and find a new desk. And, can you upgrade any of your equip? (mouse, keyboard, speakers, all that)

if you want something for gaming.. PC is the way to go
but if you want to travel for work or something a laptop is better

Like everyone is saying , It's overpriced. I've gotten only one of all of the computers i've owned built. I've gotten a better deal on that then you would get on a Alienware. Alienware's are great computers don't get me wrong it's just not worth it. ( The computer I got built was about $1250. It was maybe a tick lower specs wise then alienware. That's basically the same and $1000-1500 cheaper then the alienware.

Honestly i have one (M17X R3) and i freaking love it, it playes every game either on ultra or high settings and is generally just good also if something goes wrong they will fix it so you don't have to worry about knowing a ton about computers
How ever they are bulky and weigh quite a bit but i don't tend to move it much so it doesn't matter
Also you get a flashy keyboard!!!!!
