    Chimera Ant arc in HxH.

    Long story short: This anime already ran before and stopped just before the best part.(like berserk/gantz). With this new opening and introduction of Kite( poor guy), this means they will finish the entire arc.

    They introduce his father after this arc. This entire arc they stop looking for him though because the chimera ants become a more important matter.

    He meets his father in a sort of weird way I guess.
