Hey guys, I recently started learning C++ because I want to help contribute to this community, but before I go any further, I need to know: is C++ the best for reverse-engineering and creating hack scripts? If not, please point me in the right direction.
Also, if there are any veterans here, please give me some advice on the best way to learn, so far I have just been using tuts online.
Thanks!
Whoops!
Obviously, I am new here, and I apologize.
So about my question, can you answer it Paradox?
Reverse-engineering is more suited with assembly. And yes C++ is suited for creating hack scripts.
Even familiar landscapes will
reveal a different kind of beauty
if you change your viewpoint.
Where these new encounters
and new bonds will lead you...
Such dazzling golden days.
I, too, look forward to
what I might behold.

C++ is not for reverse-engineering since it's a PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE and reverse-engineering is exactly the opposite of programming. For reverse-engineering you need debuggers like OllyDbg and a good knowledge in assembler as Jabberwo0k already said.
