I never used it, but you can pretty much acess any application which is not running in the background just by opening your task manager and going to the app's tab, finding the program's app name, in this case, VMware(I guess?), right clicking on it and maximize/bring to front.

Dude just press that X its all time there just look UP on VM Ware..

When shutting down VMware, You somtime's get issue's. It just freezes and says can't close until *Insert what ever name you called that VM* shut's down. I get this problem a lot.

Press ALT+CTRL+DEL and open task manager, Close all Vmware-Vmx.EXE's. This will solve your shut down issue's =)
