I agree, however in recent times as the quality of draft picks and talent scouts have gotten better i find it really hard to see how you could find such a shit player at #1.

I'm a Pies supporter and the amount of gun players we have playing now that weren't top 20 picks is amazing. Who would have thought we would have found Swan at #58 - Fasolo at #45 etc.
Then you look at Collingwood Lite (Carlton) and check the amount of high draft picks they have, and they're total rubbish.

#1 Draft picks don't mean much in the modern day game. But they can't be that shit! Something's really gone wrong at Melbourne with the development Re: Watts.
