    My epic duel with a virus

    I logged on today on my comp after repeteadly having 2 reboot and choose settings and shit and my background said "WARNING YOU ARE INFECTED WITH A VIRUS it will endanger you, ur family, loved ones etc...." and went on to open an obvious scareware program that wanted me to pay 200$ for 2 years of "Virus-Protection".

    so i tried to use Spybot and i got a system shutdown notice that would come up from NT/Authorization or something and force my comp to restart.

    I did this twice and then started ending random processes with task manager (not a good idea) until i noticed i was using an UNGODLY amount of bandwith from some random process so i dc'd my modem and poof no more shutdowns.

    when i finally got spybot searching and did some manual searches with windows search thing that were files from 2 days ago till today in system32 i found a SHITLOAD of new files that were obviously virus/bots/whatever and their logs of attempting to connect to the internet.

    so i sat here for 2 hours spybotting and deleting/searching till i fiinally got rid of that fucking fail of a virus. i hope its actually gone cuz that was really a waste of time.

    Same thing happen to me not too long ago, I thought the all fried so I went and bough a new motherboard! Waste of money, and the new motherboard's older than my last one, so slow... I ended up just reinstalling XP and they're workin' fine.

    yea, i pretty much did wat dave said but i couldnt google it cuz it used the internet (i think irc) in some way 4 commands/updates. so i turned off modem first and deleted that biach
