All these components are from NEWEGG and the computer is based on a gaming build.

This is a build without peripherals (Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse etc)

    CPU:

    Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 4000 BX80637I53570K - $219.99

Or get the 3470 if you're not going to overclock.

    CPU COOLER:

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO RR-212E-20PK-R2 Continuous Direct Contact 120mm Sleeve CPU Cooler Compatible with latest Intel 2011/1366/1155 and AMD FM1/FM2/AM3+ - $29.99

Will allow over clocking up to 4.5GHZ without reaching 65-70c on load.

    MOTHERBOARD:

    ASRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard - 134.99$

One of the best budget motherboards for over clocking.

    MEMORY:

    CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Low Profile Desktop Memory Model CML8GX3M2A1600C9 - $69.99

8GB is plentiful for gaming on a single monitor and basic needs.

    GRAPHICS CARD:

    MSI R7950 Twin Frozr 3GD5/OC Radeon HD 7950 3GB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card - $319.99

One of the best graphic cards on the market, it will play all games at max settings and has a decent cooler so overclocking will be easy.

You could switch out for a 660 ti or 670 but the 7950 is better in price and performance.

    HARD-DRIVE:

Western Digital WD Black WD1002FAEX 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive - $94.99

    For videos, music, games etc.

    SOLID STATE DRIVE:

SAMSUNG 840 Pro Series MZ-7PD128BW 2.5" 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) - $149.99

For your OS, and some games. Will launch incredibly fast.

    POWER SUPPLY:

    SILVERSTONE Strider series ST60F-PS 600W - $105.99

Will power up everything in your system, and is modular so you won't get any mess or cables you don't need.

    CASE:

Corsair Carbide Series 300R Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - $79.99

Its a pretty standard case, with all the good case features.

The total of this build will cost you $1205.91 if you can't afford that, drop the SSD, which will be $1055.92
keep in mind that's without shipping and GST.

If you need any help, advice don't be hesitant to PM me!

Good luck with the build !

Also, you could wait a bit longer untill the new Nvidia GPU's are released, which is in may.
The new Intel Chipset comes out soon as well, I reckon its worth a wait.

I'm assuming you mean the intel 4th gen.
It's not going to be worth the wait since there are only 2 that can be overclocked and all the speeds are the same as the 3rd gen and nothing goes over 4 cores.

Ok so I just read an article and it stated that the 4th gen CPU's won't be for performance, the Haswell CPU's have low TDW so they can fit into Ultrabooks, Laptops etc.
