FX 6100 vs Intel?

i am going to return my FX 6100 CPU/motherboard and i wanna get intel i3 or i5, what model would be best and motherboard, i dont really wanna spend aton but i am willing to spend alittle more. seems like intel has better single task power but less multi but better Video power. i looked at afew I3's but didnt find one that would be alot better. thoughts? what intel CPU and motherboard would be better trade off?

Sounds great but abit pricey for me right now xD id love to get it but ill be returning my $130 CPU and my $50 MB, so i kinda gotta get something close or maybe $10-$20 differences without spending so much, or the gf is going to kill me xD

ASRock Z75 Pro3 LGA 1155 Intel $85

Thats not to bad at all! i spent about $130 on the CPU and $50 or so on the board, so returning it i would get more then half the price of what ever i am buying. iv been wanting an I5 for sure and i want a good board, something less cheap lol

i know its pretty cheap.. also what are you using your PC for?

i5 would be the better choice but 6100 money wise

Gaming, i play alot of league of legends, BF3 on ultra or high, planet side 2, and some other game's really. and the normal stuff email ect ect


Agreed Marceline, but i kinda wanted to upgrade without spending awhole ton but with going to intel, cause it seems alot better!

okay.. but im not to sure if that CPU is good for gaming. im guessing if you have a graphics card for those games that run smooth , it should be good. i would also research the i5 3330.

i thought intel was good for gaming in general, i got a 650 TI video card. ill look into the it 3330 for sure.

Intel is good but i never looked into the CPU.
