The 7970 is far better in terms of both price and performance. I'd go with that.

Question to any of you that has experience with PC Hardware
I'm having my confirmation this sunday, & I'm prepared to get hellaloads of money, so I'm gonna buy myself a decent GPU, & I'm looking at 2 cards in general;
The Asus Radeon HD7970 Direct CU II 3GB
EVGA GeForce GTX 670 SC 4GB DDR5
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 680 OC 2GB
What would you reccomend for harsh games! Please help me out!

The HD 7970, but some games are optimized for Nvidia cards and some are optimized for AMD cards so it can be a tough choice.
