Im a Dub hater they butcher so many voices, Not saying all but most.
I still haven't seen SAO but it sounds like crap to me so ill mark this up as another butchered anime.

Which is sad because there are some really good voice actors but there are not used where they would fit best and end up sounding terrible.

It's not really bad at all, you can't expect for Kirito to have some macho voice his character is only about like what 16? At least it isn't evengalion dub all over again.

And kids in animes tend to be adults.

I dont thinks its so much the age of the voice actor so much as the pitch of there voice, when you get an english dub and the sound of the voice is completely wrong its off putting, People have all different voices and when english actors are cast i feel they are chosen more on there experience than how they fit there character.

There are some occasions where a child can do the voice for example the English voice actor for alphonse from fullmetal alchemist was only 12 when he did it.
