The symbols like the RED CROSS means that its a hospital, binco, viewpoint etc.

Yeah that's obvious. What's BS, $ sign, dice, red house and red flag?

I went to all these places on a server and there was nothing there.

BS = Burgershot obviously.
$ = Shops / Villas
Dice = Casinos / Strip
Red House = Place to hide
Red Flag = Mountains / Hills / Farm / Places to hide

Some of these are just places to hide. Its just a help
if u have a tent and u dont know where it was you can orientate at these
"signs".

Not bad, but you know what could be better? since this is for dayz you could make a map which shows you all the "hotspots" on the map, from military loots to heli crashes.( i would also suggest a map which would show you a specific weapon spawn, coyote etc but that would require scripting, and a possible hack into the servers) >_>
