My arguments are not limited to pre-marital sex they are about the entire moral teachings of religious books such as the Bible, which in my opinion do not have to apply directly to a belief of God to learn what these books are meant to teach us. Take the ten commandments for the (Bible), it basically says you shouldn't kill other people, you shouldn't do this or that, etc., it teaches the person right from wrong per se. Now let's say, a person without an education and hasn't been taught right from wrong, could learn to read and read this book and thus learn from it and learn how to do good things as taught in these books. These books do not do harm, they only do good. Even if you do perceive the overall purpose completely wrong and turn into a crazed Jesus praising nut, you are still learning good things. For the sake of argument, I will go over a common idea of 'without Religion we would be so much farther ahead'. This is on the verge of blasphemy, let me tell you why, before there was law enforcement or anything as you know to be law enforcement there was only the Church, and without it, there would have been no moral structure, no civilized lifestyle, people wouldn't have learned how to live the way it's taught in the Bible, because that's all there was. People would have done what they naturally would do without knowing any better, the Bible taught them these things such as the ten commandments and without those so-called rules or even laws if you will, they would have done exactly those things as they please. Ultimately we would still be stuck in a pre-Christ era with possibly small technological advancement but nothing like you see today. Like I said, my arguments are not purely about the immorality of pre-marital sex, but about Religious books as a whole.
