If War Rock is not starting successfully.

In order to run War Rock on Vista, you might have to do a few things.

1. Go to the Directory that you have Install War Rock too.
2. Find the following exe files WRLauncher exe and WRUpdater exe and right click on each one then select Properties
3. Select the Compatibility tab.
4. Select "Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows XP (Service Pack 2)
5. Also select the box "Run this program as an administrator.
6. Select OK
7. Now go to the System directory in the War Rock Directory
8. Right click on WarRock exe and select Properties.
9. Select the Compatibility tab.
10. Select "Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows XP (Service Pack 2)
11. Then select the box "Run this program as an administrator.
12. Select OK

Ok, I was able to run War Rock on Vista but the sound is all distorted or won’t play at all.

Try the following steps in order:

1. Uninstall War Rock.
2. Go to the directory that you installed War Rock on. (Default is: C:/Program Files/Warrock) and delete the Warrock folder completely.
3. Re-install War Rock and patch.

I’m running Windows Vista 64bit. Can I play War Rock?

You may be able to, however War Rock does not officially support Vista 64bit due to the 32 bit structure of the game. 64 bit OS users may experience complications.

I am experiencing a lot of lag and disconnections when playing War Rock on Vista.

If you have your Windows Vista Firewall running, you may need to manually add War Rock to the exceptions section under Windows Vista. Here is how:

1. Control Panel > Security Center
2. Click on the “Windows Firewall” link on the left.
3. Click on the “Allow a program through Windows Firewall” link.
4. Click on “Add Program”
5. Click on “Browse” and find the directory that you installed War Rock in.
6. Inside the Warrock folder, select wrupdater.exe and click “Open”.
7. Click “OK”

Then, we will manually update HackShield

1- Go to:

C:\Program Files > Gamers First > WarRock > Data > HShield > Update

2- Then click on "Autoupprogram"

3- Then when the window pops up, click "Start Update", This will manually update your Hack Shield

4- once done, simply start warrock, let it patch, and have fun playing. laugh.gif

If it doesnt work, try to download and unzip the complete HackShield Folder:
Linked removed, added attachment

and overwrite the hole HShield folder located at C:\ Program Files > GamersFirst > WarRock > Data
