Well, LoL obviously has a much bigger competitive scene - granted it's been around for how many years? SMITE still hasn't even been fully released. It recently went into Open Beta (about 2-3 months ago) and I have no idea about full release. Nonetheless, SMITE is growing drastically in the competitive scene. I mean, lots more teams are being involved and a lot more e-sports sponsors are sponsoring players in SMITE.

If you play LoL, you may have heard of a few of these teams (these are the top teams on the top of my head in SMITE right now):
ROOT Gaming
Curse Gaming
BLG (Borderland Gaming I believe)
and I few others.

Yeah. They expanded to SMITE about 2 months ago. Right as soon as it went to open beta a few of the regular streamers on the official SMITE twitch started the team. Curse was the top team, but there was a bit of conflict and one the members quit and went to ROOT. ROOT now remains unstoppable in the NA scene.

Yeah. It's 3rd person view, it's a lot more fast paced than SMITE. Much more skillshots, and really fun. Though, if you compare it to Dota2 - it's very easy.
