I used to use VAC, but I could never hear anything when I set it to the lines, any idea on how to fix that?

I used to use VAC, I got terrible quality I switched to Stereo mix. Much better imo.

You don't need to use VAC just change your default mic to stereo mix.

Set it to "default communications device" and use voice_loopback 1 or the Audio Repeater (MMN) program that came with VAC

Foobar out-put to Virtual Audio Cable, play a song, and use a script to hold the voice command.

Get cracked version of morphVox pro voice changer, install DJ plugin for it, Change mic device to screaming bee, win.

Ok... There are many ways to play music through the microphone on gmod... here are a few ways
Vac,Hldj winamp.... Yes Hldj works still because i use it all the time. If you dont want to pay for vac then get a cracked version or use manycam. Winamp has a option in its preferences to set the playback to line 1 (Vac)
the second method is morphvox. Morphvox allows you to morph your voice into whatever you want. you can buy or get cracked plugins. with morphvox you can also play sound through your microphone including loops. create a custom group and insert your songs. if you go into your microphone options you can see that screeming bee is now one of your options. simply set it too default communications device... please this might not be correct. i tend to use morphvox on skype because it has a play back built into it. if you use hldj make sure to set your playback in the console voice_loopback 1

Virtual Audio Cable

There is a setting in foobar to make it output to VAC Line 1 then you just have to change your recording device to Line 1
