xfire hacks still work

after reading that somebody got drgn's hack to work after the HS update i figured i try it with xfire.. they work.. played 3 games with no d/c.. before this update i couldnt get them to run without the bypass now they wont run with it.. weird but whatever.. for those that dont have these search the forums for a thread titled "xfire walls" and follow r3k0n's instructions

1st: we need to clean out your failed attempts log! in your CA folder (C:\Nexon\Combat Arms) you must DELETE the files- CAV.exe, EndingBanner.exe, rwdata2.bin, and all Debug(blah blah blah).txt files. NEXT is INSIDE your HShield folder (C:\Nexon\Combat Arms\HShield) there are two .v3d files that also need DELETED they are v3warpds.v3d and v3warpns.v3d.

STEP 1 IS NOT ONLY A DAILY THING BUT BEFORE EVERY TIME YOU RUN CA

2nd: you must create a NEW FOLDER inside your CA folder (C:\Nexon\Combat Arms\New Folder)

3rd: YOU MUST RUN CA IN COMPATIBILITY MODE: right click on your Combat Arms icon that is on your desktop>Properties>Compatibility tab. Check the box that states "Run this program in compatibility mode for" WINDOWS 95!

4th: you need a hacks folder.. preferably on your desktop simply titled CA.. to put these files in.

5th: extract the XFIRE hack to the new folder created in your CA folder (C:\Nexon\Combat Arms\New Folder)

6th: right click on the file "d3dx9_33.exe" that you have just extracted to your new folder in your CA folder (NOT THE .dll FILE) and go to option "Send To" then "Desktop (Create Shortcut)" and select it

7th: open d3dx9_33.exe from your desktop

8th: open CA and GAME START!

9th: once in game AT THE LOGIN SCREEN BEFORE YOU LOGIN press the Insert key on your keyboard to open the menu.. use up and down arrow keys to select what hacks to use, left and right arrow keys to enable or disable the hacks.. COLOR IS AT THE TOP OF THE LIST AND MUST NOT BE ACTIVATED! YOUR GAME WILL CLOSE OUT AND YOU'LL HAVE TO REDO STEP 1! FOR BEST RESPONSE AND LEAST LAG, LIMIT YOURSELF TO: Full Bright, No Fog, and Wall Hack. PRESS THE INSERT KEY ONCE AGAIN TO CLOSE THE MENU BEFORE LOGGING IN!

Yea, I did it right.

I did all the steps right.

When i tried it, I minimized it because it wasn't working.

And the injector said "Waiting for Engine.exe" After i had already started up combat arms.

you have a slow computer and the hack needs to run before u open CA

it's working, but my game isn't full screen so it's not fun to play on a small screen.

sorry for you man.. i actually prefer thats its windowed cuz its easier to run.. only downfall about it is that u cant minimize.. but it loads up quick enough i dont mind closing out if i have to

make ur own post and upload ur version of the hack.. when i got this one i tried 3 other copies of it or variations before i got this one to work.. maybe yours is different in some way and might be easier to use

Slow computer? I have a 97.6 GB hard drive. And I still have 13 GB left, Which is enough for more then 5 more CA installations.

Well that's the only thing I know about my computer, But the rest of the stuff is as up to date as my memory.

My Internet connection is fine, My computer is finer.

So something's messed up.

What about the compatibility? I don't have windows 95.

Does that matter?

i followed exact directions but when i start CA it says failed to inject

It works for me, did everything said but also had a resolution issue that I needed to fix. Other than that, working fine. Used no fog, no sky, and wall hack.

*off topic* Does anyone know of any 100% working speed hack with no d/c?

Can someone give me a short tutorial. Or tell me what i did wrong.

1) Deleted the files.

2) Created the new folder.

3) Placed the hack into the folder.

4) Click the .exe file and sent a shortcut to the desktop.

5) Changed the compatibility to windows 95.

6) Ran the hack on the desktop.

7) Started CA.

8) Inserts nothing.

injection failed error i had a while back.. sorry i was on another thread.. but copy and paste the d3dx9_33.dll from the new folder in your CA folder and paste it into your actual CA folder.. COPY and paste

C:\Nexon\Combat Arms\New Folder\d3dx9_33.dll copy and paste to C:\Nexon\Combat Arms

getting on game.. if this doesnt work search the forum for a thread titled "xfire walls".. its closed but some people had the same problem and im pretty sure they got it fixed.. just read around the pages

this one works for me but only in window mode which is like half of my screen, isn't good for me to play, i only like full screen, anyone know how to make it full screen?
