Doenst really matter, because you need internet connection anyway to download. And you have to search aswell. Plus, if you don't use stores, ou'll never have to update them much practical, at least for me.

I'd still rather have it inside the app.

I guess that's one way to pass time.

Because booting up another app to search for stuff that you later load into another app is cumbersome, extra time consuming and generally annoying.
Wouldn't it be easier to do all of that inside the same app

Considering the outcome in this case and the actuall process for both situations, no. At least for me.
