You guys do realize that there are multiple sections to AE right? It's not just five people working at someone's house anymore, it's a pretty big company. This can be attributed to their customer service department, which isn't tied to most of AE's operations. I just think it's wrong to say that they're greedy when there are so many video game firms that do so much worse.
But even still, I can understand where the customer service rep is going with this. If the other person is able to prove ownership and payments for a period of at least two years time and you're claiming the account stolen now, it seems fishy. Furthermore, under their terms and conditions they can claim no liability for the damages.
I don't mean to be rude, but you should direct your anger at the right people, and at this point it should just be accepted that you're probably not going to get the account back.
