If you use this 30 free trial near the end of June, you get all three free. Enjoy.

That isn't what they are trying to convey, it's to get players to buy the next game. Fable II was free just a little before Fable III was released. Bungie doesn't own the rights to Halo 3 anymore, so Microsoft is getting users pumped for Halo 5. If I'm not mistaken there is another Assassin's Creed game coming out this year. They are giving you cheap prequel games to make you buy the sequels, it's an age-old market scheme. Microsoft has been doing it for years...
