Hi guys, I was playing infection earlier and came up with an idea.
It is probably completely impossible to do but do you think it would be possible to apply the infection proximity sensor, which beeps when enemies get close, to the public channels?
Could it be done?

Why would you need that? That would be crazy because it will beep like crazy. Plus I dont think its even possible

The infection beeper has a set ammount of range. Plus the thing wouldnt work because it beeps for infected people not regular. You would have to change the coding.

But the set amount of range is the entire point of the beeper. Think of how much easier demo would be, if for example, you're setting the bomb and hear the proximity detector go off. You wouldn't get snuck up on. Also, not that I know anything about this but wouldn't it be no different from creating a UAV hack or anything?

UAV hack was possible because you could actually UAV enemys in PVP

Good point... it would still be really cool if someone could code this, it would have uses at least in Demolition

You could copy the method the detector uses.

You storing the player's position vector
you do the same for the enemy's
Then you can calculate the deltA between them. So for e.x

if(fpDelta == 15)
PlaySound(...);
