Text is missing or Messed up

I just installed black box mw3 last night and when i opened it I got this

All the text is missing and ingame the subtitles are missing too. They are just weird boxes.

My cousin installed the steam version of it awhile ago on my computer and everything worked. So nothing should be wrong with my computer.
I tried googling the problem but nothing came up

I have tried verify Integrity of tool cache. It fixed 50 things. But the text is still messed up. I tried reinstalling multiple times.

Do you have such problems in other games?
As there doesn't seem to be a normal problem.

DirectX shouldn't affect only the text tho. But as he didn't report anything else like the compass/map not being strange or so. This could be the problem indeed.
Or usage of some strange Windows Font/Text Style

I don't get any problems on other games. About a week ago I downloaded this program called lolreplays( a recorder for league of legends) and it wouldn't work and gave me a error saying font is corrupted.

About 3 weeks ago, I downloaded some custom fonts for photoshop. The fonts would be all weird and not looking like the ones I downloaded.

Could the font I downloaded somehow be the problem?

Hmm, never meet this problem in my life.

What is your game screen resolution ? Because sometimes this can be the case, first of, try it on 800x600, if it still is, then I believe your graphic card is out dated.

That can be too, yes. Cause weird fonts can be problem in games.
