If you would have the right mentality, then yeah, I think video games players would do better then that, but not too much either.
I mean look at the few factors that conclude whether you'll get somewhere in war or not;

You don't stay at the same spot and shoot a dozen times, you don't scream allahu akbar every shot you make, you try to hide as good as possible, not stick your barrel in a hole where everyone can see you, you don't face an other sniper whilst hiding behind a thin wall, and you deffinately do not shoot where smoke can be produced

any smart person would be quiet, keep their fucking head down, and not stay in the same spot repeatedly firing especially since the other person is long range shooting... Judging by the size of hole that was left, the other person was shooting around a 308 size rifle.

I think that Americas Army 3 would actually contribute to your real life professionalism because it kinda teaches you what war is all about on a minimal scale, since it is made by true veterans trying to make it look as real as possible.
