Laptop overheating

My laptops (hp-pavilion-g6-2356) processor is badly overheating, even in idle.

It has AMD A10-4600m 2.3ghz Quad Core processor with turbo so it can get to 3.2ghz, but the problem is that when I'm not doing anything and it's at 1,3ghz, the temp wont go under 80c.



While playing minecraft it was running 2,65ghz and the temp was 134c.


Any help?? Bought it few days ago.

Your fan is probably damaged and not working, or its full of dust and you gotta clean it.

it happens... when you have it on your lap the fan sucks shit in. dust can do the same. I actually take a fan and put it behind the laptop and make sure it's sitting on a flat solid surface. Also check what your battery settings are at (battery saver, balanced, high performance). I set high performance and play and my shit is hot enough to cook eggs. But I dropped $2,000 on mine.

Put a book under your laptop so that it is balanced, yet not blocking the fan.

I've had alot of pavilion's and they're pretty bad. Cheaply made, not fast, the fan setup is horrible and collects soooooo much shit. I don't like the DV series... had to take it to a car tire air station and spray the fucking fan down. got sooo much shit out of there
