I Have no idea why you're buying a 690.
Hello! so i wanted to build a new computer for a while now but my mom didn't want me to spend money on it but for my 14 birthday [aug 1] i didn't ask for anything i just asked for me to be able to build my new computer and she and my dad said it was ok but i must use my own money and it can't go over $3,000 so i built this i want you guys to rate it to see if its really good or if im just wasting my money.
I'm overclocking the cpu also i think i can bump it up to 4.0GHz

A 690.
You were seeking strength, justice, splendour.
You were seeking love.
Here is the pit, here is your pit.
Its name is Silence..
A 690? These days? Have you not heard about the 780?
and as Doc put out, good luck with building this
Since you obviously need to re-think your hardware choices, I feel it is necessary to say that case is ugly as hell.

Sooper Amazing PC Specs:GPU(S): 2x Signature 2 Superclocked GTX 680's
CPU: i7 3770k @ 4.5ghz
PSU: Corsair Platinum AX1200W
MOBO: Asus Sabertooth Z77
CASE: NZXT Phantom
STORAGE: 1x 256 GB Intel SSD/1x 2TB Western Digital HDD
All you've done is looked at prices and went
"Yep, that's expensive so it should be good" and ticked the box
Do your research, save up to a car if not

Everything looks good except if you're going to spend up to 3000$ I recommend the X79 sabertooth mobo and the intel i7 3930k with either a 780 or 2 670's and I recommend Corsair Vengeance RAM
My PC Specs:
CPU: AMD FX-8350 8 Core Black Edition 4.0 (4.2 w/ turbo)
Mobo (motherboard): ASUS Sabertooth 990FX R2.0
GPU: nVIDIA GeForce GTX 480 1.5 GB GDDR3
Memory: 4x4GB's Corsair Vengeance 1866
CD/DVD Drive: None
HDD: 1 TB Barricuda
I read the specs. My brother can get his intel i7-3930k up to 5.0 GHz w/ liquid cooled with a XSPC raystorm 480mm radiator (currently clocked at 4.0). He also has (4x4GB) 16GB Corsair Vengeance Quad Channel Memory at 1866 MHz CAS 9-10-9-27-1, an ASUS Sabertooth X79 Motherboard LGA Socket 2011, 2x ASUS GTX 670 4GB in SLI and to top it off an Azza Fusion 4000 Super Tower Case. I'm pretty sure it beats this computer build by about 2000$ worth. My brother spent 5000$ for this exact setup. Best that's out right now from what he says.

The nvidia drivers for the 700 series are broken, I have 3 different builds with 2 different 700 series card, all of them have some kind of major driver issue. And you can't downgrade the version on the 700 series... For now I would stick to the 600 series. And that 1150 mobo literally crippled me... Also, you build high end hardware with the worst case on planet earth...
Place your order on those components and make a video about you building the PC, you will get your money tripled with the youtube money you'll get from the video... haha
This made me lol harder than it should have...
