I would not trust this, it was not officially updated and could be infected even though its been approved (fud)
Plus nodus is awful anyway... compared to most other clients

Even though something is obfuscated, anyone with enough tools and Java knowledge should be able to understand it. If strings are encrypted there are tools to reverse that. You can reobfuscate yourself using another tool to reduce the length of the class and method names. You can then search for any connections to an external host (since internal Java method and class names stay the same) and see if it is infected.
I'm not denying that the source was legible. Some of it was easily understandable. But all the names of the ints, strings, etc. were obfuscated. It's just that the time it would take to transfer the entirety of the obfuscated source into easily legible source would not be worth my time in my opinion. I'd rather just run it in sandboxie or on a VM.
