So I think we all know that AQWorlds has changed a lot since the first Beta Testers (proud to be one! ).
But recently I've noticed that the new releases are getting less...amazing. As in, the new releases are not as good as the previous ones, and a lot of them are boring. I mean, look at the new Quibble items. Are you kidding me? No one will buy that. And then they keep on making their own advertising on the Design Notes by trying to make players invite other people to play AQWorlds, and then they're trying to get more popular through FaceBook and Twitter, but most of all, they're creating "okay" looking equipment to give out to people who upgrade or buy ACs. AQWorlds seems to be changing now, into a game lacking great releases and slowly turning money-hungry. I think Artix Entertainment is really in a critical state right now. AQWorlds will probably end by the time we get up to Drakath. They're trying their best to milk money out of AQWorlds and simply not let it end, because HeroSmash seems to be failing so not many gamers would migrate there, and when their Project Omni games would be released is undetermined. People may migrate to OverSoul, but that won't cut it. Artix Entertainment seemed to have been stretched to its limits, because it's best game is probably AQWorlds. The only way they could continue on is by making a new explosively awesome game that tops AQWorlds or somehow continue the AQWorlds Saga the way they continued the DragonFable saga, but in a more attractive way. Thanks for reading this if you did. I know it sounds a bit stupid...

Well, it happens with all games, AQW's apogee was in late 2011/early 2012, it kicked ass.
I'm seriously considering to drop the game, it has been nothing but Ac, "LEGENDS" and lazy releases these days, sad to admit but they're starting to change and not in the good sense of the word, this was supposed to be FREE FOR ALL and now they have become money whores, hope they change that somehow...
True that.
Everyone is analysing AQWorlds, saying that it's dying or changing, but it's just the same cycle as most games.
Also, just a few bad releases doesn't mean that they can't pull it back together, if they want the game to continue I'm sure they can do it.
A while ago I made a thread similar to this, showing the google trends results of "AQWorlds".
The graph for that peaked in june 2010.
I recently did the same but for "AQW" just out of interest.
The graph peaks at December 2011.
On both graphs, the statistics are generally decreasing. However, if you look at the graphs overall then it is just the natural cycle of a game.
Here is the graph for AQW:
Now compare to another MMORPG, for example, the biggest ever WoW:
Of course, there are differences, but the theory remains the same :P
they are working in a new battlegem game and probably thats why they dont work like usual on AQW.
you guys are right the game kinda sucks now man :\

Greed always gets the best of humans, no matter what you do or who you are. But I don't think the game will die, even though the releases are quite dumb and dull, they just need something new, something creative, something that'll get everyones attention. I had some ideas, they're not the best, but i'll share them anyway:
Item trading
Yes, they don't allow trading/sellling/buying/etc. accounts, and I believe it's because of security reasons, but they could make like a new map called "trade", "tradekingdom", or "tradesomething" and it will cost gold and/or ACs from both sides. For example, someone wants to trade Legion Vampire for the Paragon Armor, both people meet up, pay the price, lets say, 500k gold or 500 AC(halfed for members/legends), "read" the terms and conditions of trading(a new, detailed one for this kinda stuff), confirming the trade 2+ times just to be sure, and boom, there it is. This may not be so "detailed" or "specific", but you get the point.
Gifting
The title explains it, but hey, why not; Gift other players ACs(1k+), membership/legendship(1 month+), and gold(kinda useless, but meh.). About the same concept as above, join a certain room, tell the person you're going to gift him/her, maybe add a tax of 10k gold/100 ACs(?) both of you confirm it, read the ToC, and boom!
Item contests
Pick a specific item that's from a decent rarity(legendary, rare, ultra rare, etc.), and the players compete for it, they can fight, maybe add features such as hide and seek, running, etc.? And in order to join this contest, you pay *insert amount* of gold and/or *insert amount* of ACs.
Item giveaways
Pretty much the same as item contests, but on this you just pay the desired amount of gold/ACs and hope to win.
These are just my thoughts, tell me what you think, I love hearing other peoples opinions!
