Need for Speed has like no back story in the games..
I feel like this movie would just be getting carried due to the fact that it's a video game and the kid from BB is in it.
I'm calling fail. Only thing that might let it do alright box office numbers wise would be the points made above.

I don't see how it's relevant, unless I misunderstood your post. The newer ones I barely played, but they were based around underground street racing and stuff. The only things it seems to me is leeching off the popular franchise name and off Jesse's popularity. I agree that it'll probably do alright box office numbers, all the teens will probably go see it, and it'll just be another average movie... If it's even semi decent it'll do well just because of the gimmicks, and a sequel will be made in no time. Friggin hollywood.
