Psycho-Pass Anime Season 2 and New Film Announcement

It has been announced on friday that Psycho-Pass anime gets the second season and a brand-new film from the official website Noitamina. Psycho-Pass second season anime will get 22 episodes in Japan.



The announcement trailer for the upcoming second season and film for the Psycho-Pass anime is currently streaming online. It shows the Psycho-Pass 2nd Anime and film will be “Completed new works,” and states that “SIByL still continues…” Unfortunately, no announcement for the release date for either project.



Psycho-Pass is a psychological action anime. The first season debuted in Japan last October. It was confirmed in March that the Blu-ray Disc and DVD will be released next spring.

Funimation Reveals Aquarion EVOL's English Dub Cast

FUNimation Entertainment announced on Tuesday the English dub cast for its upcoming release of the Aquarion Evol television anime series. The cast is as follows:

• Amata - Christopher Bevins
• Mikono - Brina Palencia
• Donar - Justin Cook
• Suomi - Colleen Clinkenbeard
• Mix - Alexis Tipton
• Andy - Josh Grelle
• Cayenne - Jason Liebrecht
• Zessica - Caitlin Glass
• Kagura - Taliesin Jaffe
• Zen - Brandon Potter
• Izumo - Mike McFarland
• Malloy - Ian Sinclair
• Sazanka - Tia Ballard
• Shush - Monica Rial

Additionally, Bevins will serve as ADR director and Kenneth Thompson will serve as ADR Engineer. Funimation is also streaming a dub trailer for the series.



Funimation will release the series on Blu-ray Disc and DVD on December 3.

The story of Aquarion Evol takes place 12,000 years after the first Aquarion television series at a city modeled after Hong Kong. A new cast of characters, piloting a new Aquarion robot, fights enemies from another dimension.

'Nisekoi' Anime to Start January 2014

The anime 'Nisekoi', adapted from the manga of the same name, is now confirmed to start from January 2014. The manga is currently serialized in Weekly Shounen Jump and the anime is adapted by studio SHAFT, with the cast leaded by Kouki Uchiyama(as Raku Ichijo), Nao Toyama(Chitoge Kirisaki), and Kana Hanazawa(as Kosaki Onodera).



In addition, the eighth volume of Nisekoi manga will be released on September 4, and the ninth will be released on November 1, which will include a special drama CD.

Coppelion Anime's TV Ad Outlines Sci-Fi Military Action Story

Japanese television channel BS11 aired a commercial for the anime adaptation of Tomonori Inoue's Coppelion science-fiction military action manga on Wednesday.



The narrator outlines the story set in 2036, after radioactive contamination from a nuclear accident has put Tokyo under a blockade. Three high school girls have been sent to this dead city. Thanks to genetic engineering, the three girls have been impervious to radioactivity since birth. They form a special forces unit, codenamed "Coppelion," in the 3rd Division of Japan's Ground Self-Defense Force.

The anime will premiere in Japan on October 2 on the AT-X channel, although it will not debut on BS11 until October 4.

The manga began in Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine in 2008 and moved to Monthly Young Magazine last year. Weekly Young Magazine announced a Coppelion television anime in 2010, but the plans were put on hold after the March 2011 earthquake and tsunami disaster.

The October issue of Ichijinsha’s Monthly Comic Zero-Sum magazine is revealing on August 28 that 07-Ghost Manga will get the final arc. The final volume will be sale on September 25.

Shonen Jump Manga Haikyu!! to Get Anime Adaptation


It’s confirmed in vol.8 of the manga that the popular Volleyball series 'Haikyu!!' by Haruichi Furudate is getting anime adaptation next spring. It will be adapted by Anime studio Production I.G. More details will be revealed on the manga's official website.

Attack on Titan Spinoff Manga About Levi to Start Serialization in Aria Shojo Magazine

It's revealed on Tuesday that a spin-off manga of Shingeki no Kyojin which focus on Levi Heicho will begin serialisation in the next issue of shoujo manga magazine Aria, on sale September 28th.

The new spin-off manga will be titled ‘Shingeki no Kyojin Gaiden: Kuinaki Sentaku Prologue‘ (Shingeki no Kyojin Side Story: A Choice with No Regrets Prologue). The manga's scripts will be written by Sunaaku Gan (Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet) with Suruga Hikaru in charge of the manga's drawing.

Jun Maeda's Angel Beats Anime Gets Game Green-Lit

The November issue of ASCII Media Works' Dengeki G's Magazine is confirming on Monday that an game adaptation of the Angel Beats! anime has been green-lit.



The 2010 anime revolves around protagonist Yuzuru Otonashi, who wakes to find himself in a strange high school setting. Otonashi has no memories prior to waking, but learns that the location is a strange afterlife and all of its inhabitants are deceased. He joins a group which rebels against the afterlife and its primary enforcer, Angel. A young woman named Yuri Nakamura leads the group, called "Shinda Sekai Sensen" (Afterlife War Front).

An Angel Beats! game adaptation has been a topic of discussion among fans since co-creator Jun Maeda revealed a possible adaptation in November of 2010. After two years with little to no updates, Visual Art's President Takahiro Baba re-acknowledged the possibility of a game adaptation on Twitter last October, but stated that the project is not yet at the stage where it can be announced. He has since then indicated that information will be available this year.

Baba reiterated last month that there may be a possible Angel Beats! game in the works. The tweet was made in response to a trending hashtag on Twitter.
