Kyoukai no Kanata Episode 1

Immortal guy with a Meganekko fetish, girl with the power to use her blood to change into weapons and other very interesting characters. All aspects of this anime are pretty good and there's nothing for me to complain about. Great opening and ending.



@Empire looks like something you would enjoy.

Isn't the concept similar to Guilty Crown and an ability Sasha from Seikon no Qwaser unlocks later in first season?
Nevertheless it should be good anime.

So far I've heard its confusing, but it might turn out to be original/fun to watch.
(sankaku just covered this and said it got "good reception" and i like kyo ani)

Look, first off thats Deadman Wonderland recently, and powers aren't the focus here. The show isn't a goddamn shonen guys, the power could be "lulz lazers" for all anyone should care.

Haruhi- Great(first season)
Clannad-Great.
Lucky Star- Moe shit, but super popular.
K-ON!- Moe shit, but super popular.
Nichijou-Probably the funniest anime ever(Great)
Chunibyo- Great but moe
Free! -Great


Outside of maybe Gainax, they are probably one of the only studio to make hits out of the majority(and realistically all their big series).

First impressions:


Good, could be very good.

-moe shit, not enough to annoy even me so its on a controllable level.
-Nice little conversations
-Nice animation even outside of action scenes, kyo ani tho, not surprising.
-Gonna be some goddamn action/plot coming up given the context of DAT ENDING.




I'd say for an opening its pretty damn good. Estabilished enough in the characters, put some plot out there world-wise without some bullshit shonen "tutorial", and has some potential for twist.(even though I already know the next one).


Animation: Great
Characters: Good, getting better
Plot: Generic turning into original
Music: Good.
Presentation: Good, but a little bit of pacing issues. I mean i watch fucking monogatari and i missed some shit. It seems condensed for a pilot.
