    Tonsillectomy

So I just had my tonsillectomy and I can't speak, my throat is throbbing and I can barely eat and drink. Anyone got suggestions to decrease the swelling or the pain?

    Thank you

My doctor advised me to eat salt & vinegar chips, as well as jelly (or gello) and ice-cream after I had a tonsillectomy. Not sure how much of a difference it makes, but it's delicious. I suppose the salt in the chips helps with the healing.

I'm pretty sure I just chewed the chips A LOT at first, gradually chewing them less and less until I can eat normally again.
